GroupLink is a two-hour event where you come to connect with people in your same stage of life and/or area to form a LifeGroup. These LifeGroup are small groups of six married couples or eight individuals of the same gender that meet weekly in a group member's home for fellowship, Bible study, and prayer. They are for adults of all ages, stages of life, and spiritual maturity.
We’ll offer various types of LifeGroups at each GroupLink according to our registrations. When registering for GroupLink you can choose to attend "one" of the types of LifeGroup listed below.
Married Couples's LifeGroups are typically comprised of married couples in the same stage of life (couples without children, with children, and empty nesters) and live in the same area or community.
Women's LifeGroups are comprised of women of all ages and stages of life (single, married, divorced, or widowed) and live in the same area or community.
Men’s LifeGroups are comprised of men of all ages and stages of life (single, married, divorced, or widowed) and live in the same area or community.
GroupLink is held two times a year at Horizons Church. See the our weekly bulletin or check the online Calendar for upcoming GroupLinks and mark your calendar! You can also register online for the next GroupLink and we'll contact you with details. A Speial Edition GroupLink if there is a large number of registrations for that type LifeGroup.
When you arrive at GroupLink, you will be directed to the check-in area, where you will sign in and receive your nametag. The evening is divided into five segments (a little more detail about each segment is below).
During the first part of the evening, you'll receive a warm welcome from the event host and a quick overview of what to expect.
The 30-Minute Mingle is an opportunity to meet others who live in your area of town. You'll have to put in a little effort to meet a few new folks, but it will be well worth it! You'll spend time in conversation and getting to know people. Potential groups begin to take shape and friendships begin to form.
During the Group Formation, you will get better acquainted with the new people you've met and begin to form a group.
During the Vision Cast segment, you will learn a little about what to expect from a LifeGroup experience. You'll watch a video that takes a humorous look at what a community group is and what it isn't.
To wrap up the evening, each group will sit back, relax, and get to know each other a little bit better. You’ll have some fun with some "icebreaker questions" and plan your first social event.
