  • Horizons Church Facilities Terms and Conditions of Use

    Please Read and Agree to the Following
  • Horizons Church seeks to use its facilities to enhance Christ's Kingdom and spread His Gospel. Therefore, events and ministry activities that promote those ends will be given primary consideration. The facilities of Horizons Church will be made available to its members first, and that availability will be on a first-come first-served basis. The following procedures shall be followed for those renting or using the facilities of Horizons Church or any ancillary area adjacent thereto:

    1. Any member of Horizons or or anyone outside of its ministries who wishes to schedule an event and use these facilities shall first complete a request form which shall either be provided by the Church Office. Reservations shall not be finalized without receipt of this signed form.
    2. The parties scheduling events at Horizons Church shall be responsible to:
      1. Provide adequate child-care and preliminary cleanup
      2. Follow the posted guidelines in our children's areas for cleaning the rooms and washing any items used
      3. Provide proper supervision for the event
      4. Assume responsibility for facility usage
    3. The Leadership Team shall decide on the use of the facility by any group outside the Horizons Church membership. They shall determine any rental fees, insurance requirements, janitorial provisions, deposits required and damage responsibility over and above normal minimum suggestions.
    4. Parties responsible for the scheduling of an event shall be responsible for the preliminary cleanup after the event. Cleanup shall be subject to the supervision of Horizons Church custodial staff who shall be compensated for any additional time they spend on site and for their additional efforts to keep the building clean and ready for ministry.
      FACILITY CARE NOTICE: All parties renting Horizons Church facilities must ensure that all event decorations are freestanding. To avoid compromising the integrity or appearance of the church, no decorations shall be attached to walls, floors, or the ceiling within the facility without authorization from the maintenance staff of Horizons Church.
    5. Horizons Church Community Groups that use the church are to be self-sufficient and supply their own needs (i.e. they must bring their own snacks, craft supplies, etc.). Community Groups that use the church are responsible to set the next user up for success by ensuring that rooms they use are restored to a clean and orderly condition that is as good as, or better than, it was found.
    6. Normally scheduled Horizons Church events take precedence over special events and church ministry events take precedence over private use of the facility.
    7. Responsible parties for an event shall provide the church office with a list of contact persons who can be reached for unforeseen circumstances that arise. These persons shall be:
      1. Responsible adults
      2. Readily accessible
    8. The contact person for an event (see item #7 above) shall make arrangements with Horizons Church staff to ensure that the facility will be opened, cleaned and closed.
    9. The church shall not be used for any event that is in violation of any code or law, and is not available for political rallies and activities.

    SPECIAL NOTICE: Because of the frequency and seriousness of peanut allergies among children, all children's areas at Horizons are PEANUT FREE ZONES. Therefore, homemade or purchased foods that use peanuts or peanut oil are strictly prohibited in the children's areas. Please read the ingredients on each label before bringing food into the children's areas. The only chocolates that do not contain some form of nuts in their recipe are TOOTSIE ROLLS and ANDES CANDIES. Please take extra precautions to protect the children that use our facilities.

  • Horizons Church Facility Rental Agreement

  • We, the undersigned, hereby hold harmless, indemnify and release from all liability Horizons Church; its elders, trustees, Pastors, staff, members and volunteers from any and all damages, suits or liabilities arising from the proposed or scheduled use of the facility named Horizons Church or any portion thereof, including but not limited to the real property, entrance and parking area surrounding said facility.
